About Cannabis

Individuals who are perceived to control their stigmatization can be viewed more negatively than others who are perceived as though they cannot control their stigmatization. This is why uneducated persons on the effects of THC and CBD do not understand the positive results in the brain, which corresponds to an increase in the quality of life.  Uneducated persons who shun, shame, and do not love persons for who they are because they smoke cannabis believe the persons smoking cannabis is completely in control of their decision making and do not receive any benefits from the decisions they are making.  This view is false.

Strangely advocacy for understanding in mental health, at risk communities, economic minorities, underserved individuals, LGBT, religion, and disease create perceived threats to our economy, culture, and way of life by stigmatizing individuals in reinforcing our differences. By reinforcing differences we continue to program our emotional selves, importantly our brain, to see a distinction and separation from our self to others.  In reality, there is no separation from one person to the other.  A person can choose not to work and not believe in the economy, yet by not working they negatively affect the economy, even if they don’t believe in the economy.  An individual who participates in the economy, does not resist the market flow, often is rewarded in an abundance of resources.  Same ideas exist for stigmas.  The person with the stigma is resisting the river, the economy, the market flow.  To spread stigmas, to spread fear, to spread ignorance about THC and Cannabis is inherently ignorant and dangerous to the quality of life for all persons.

Medical Cannabis Facts

In a medical literature review published back in 2002, medical cannabis was decisively shown to possess recognized effects in treating nausea, queasiness, premenstrual syndrome, involuntary weight loss, sleeplessness and poor appetite. There are other “fairly well-confirmed” effects, though. These were regarding the cure of spasticity, excruciating conditions, neurogenic pain, movement disarrays, asthma or glaucoma.” There are some first round findings indicating that cannabis-oriented drugs have the strong potentials to prove highly useful in curing inflammatory bowel disorders, migraines, fibromyalgia or related conditions. Medical cannabis was also found to have the power to relieve some symptoms of numerous scleroses. This includes different types of spinal cord wounds by showcasing antispasmodic as well as muscle-relaxing properties, while stimulating appetite.

Other clinical studies showed that cannabis and cannabinoids might be highly useful when it comes to dealing with alcohol abuse and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. The same thing can be said about the treatments of collagen-induced arthritis and asthma or even atherosclerosis. Scientists have found that medical cannabis comes with strong potentials to treat bipolar disorder and colorectal cancer or even HIV-oriented Sensory Neuropathy depression. And let us also not forget the high degree of potentials it has for treating dystonia, epilepsy, gastral/digestive diseases, gliomas or hepatitis C and Huntington’s disease. With lots of potentials to treat leukemia and skin tumors, medical cannabis is one of the top priorities of clinical researchers to treat and heal methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. Even high profile complications like Parkinson’s disease, posttraumatic stress disorder or sickle-cell diseases are treatable with it. Clinical researchers are working hard to find the best ways to utilize its potentials to heal problems like sleep apnea or anorexia nervosa.

Some controlled researches on the treatment of Tourette syndrome (using an artificial version of tetrahydrocannabinol) were fruitful as the key psychoactive chemical in cannabis actually showed positive results. Patients who took Marinol felt a beneficial reaction without any grave side effects. Many other clinical studies showed that cannabis does not have any effects on the tics. They can thus boost the patient’s inner tension. Some case reports discovered that marijuana actually has the capacity to help reduce tics. Still, legalization of such results calls for longer, restricted studies on much larger samples. Some latest studies in California indicated that active ingredients found in marijuana or THC can successfully put off the development of deposits within the brain, which are associated pretty much with the Alzheimer’s disease.

In fact, THC was clinically found to have the capacity to prevent the enzyme known as acetylcholinesterase from pacing up the construction of harmful “Alzheimer plaques” within the brain. And this is done far more effectively compared to the commercially marketed typical OTC drugs. Just in case you already did not know, THC also is proven to work more effectively at obstructing bunches of protein, which could slow down memory as well as cognition within a Alzheimer’s, as per the reports published by Molecular Pharmaceutics. Lung cancer as well as chronic disruptive pulmonary diseases can also be healed by medical cannabis. A surprising clinical research showed that smoking cannabis can’t raise the hazards of lung cancer or COPD (the acronym for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease among patients who don’t smoke tobacco.
